CONSTITUTION AND LAW
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo instructed today the Task Force Rice Hoarding to get all the documents it needs from the National Food Authority (NFA) to strengthen the cases it filed against suspected rice bandits and erring NFA officials.
The President issued the directive to National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Nestor Mantaring and Atty. Ric Diaz, head of the DOJ-NBI joint task force rice hoarding, during her surprise visit this morning, to the Department of Justice (DOJ), the fourth since April 30.
On her way back to Malacanang, the President passed by the DOJ after she led the groundbreaking for the 10-hectare Baseco reclamation project in Tondo, Manila.
