PROCLAMATION NO. 282

RESERVING A PARCEL OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN FOR NATIONAL PARK PURPOSES TO BE KNOWN AS “NAUJAN LAKE NATIONAL PARK”, SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF NAUJAN, POLA AND VICTORIA, PROVINCE OF ORIENTAL MINDORO, ISLAND OF MINDORO

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources as Chairman of the Commission on Parks and Wildlife, and pursuant to the provisions of Section One of Act Numbered Thirty Nine Hundred and Fifteen, as amended, and of Section Two of Republic Act Numbered Eight Hundred and Twenty-Six, I, RAMON MAGSAYSAY, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from sale, settlement or other disposition and reserve for national park purposes to be known as “NAUJAN LAKE NATIONAL PARK”, under the administration of the Commission on Parks and Wildlife, subject to private rights, if any there be, the following parcel of the public domain, situated in the municipalities of Naujan, Pola and Victoria, Province of Oriental Mindoro, Island of Mindoro, and more particularly described as follows, to wit:

Beginning at a print marked “1”, at the junction of the Laguna River and Bathala Creek on Plan N.P. No. 38 being S. 13 deg. 30′ E., 9,400.00 meters, more or less, from BLLM No. 1 Naujan, Oriental Mindoro; thence S. 86 deg. 00′ E., 5,550.00 m. to point “2”, located at the junction of two trails; thence S. 61 deg. 30′ E., 1,450.00 m. to point “3”; located at the bank of Lucia River; thence S. 34 deg. 00′ E., 10,750.00 m. to point “4”, at the mouth of Tiguihan River; thence S. 15 deg. 00′ W., 5,100.00 m. to point “5”, located at the junction of Casiligan River and Magtungao River; thence S. 65 deg. 00′ W., 5,100.00 m. to point “6”, located at the junction of Subaan River and Antipolo River; thence S. 77 deg. 00′ W., 4,600.00 to point “7”, located at the junction of Subaan River and an unknown creek; thence N. 59 deg. 15′ W., 7,600.00 m. to point “8”, located at the municipal boundary of Victoria and Pola; thence N. 7 deg. 00′ E., 9,400.00 m. to point “9”, located at the junction of Bulbocalon River and Butanca River; and thence N. 31 deg. 45′ E., 5,650.00 m. to point of beginning; containing an approximate area of TWO HUNDRED SIXTEEN MILLION FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND (216,550,000) Square meters.

This park is subject to future delimitation and survey. That any lease or leases found to be existing within the area as reserved shall be respected until their expiration. The administrative supervision for the conservation of all commercial species of fish in the park will be delegated to the Bureau of Fisheries.
