Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Chair Luwalhati Antonino said on Tuesday she is saddened by the loss not only of a good friend but also a colleague in Cabinet who devoted a great deal of effort helping national government pursue Mindanao’s progress and transformation.
“Secretary Jesse was a true harbinger of transformational leadership and his passion for good governance has reverberated as inspiration to many of our young leaders in Mindanao,” Antonino said in a statement.
The MinDA chair recalled how Robredo has showed determination in vigorously pursuing initiatives designed to effect genuine governance reforms in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
Robredo, along with Antonino and Presidential Peace Adviser Teresita Deles comprise the core group of Cabinet members overseeing the implementation of President Aquino’s ARMM Reform Agenda.
“In pursuing public service, he has long dedicated his life to something greater than himself. He will deservedly be remembered for a long time,” said Antonino.
