VERSION 2.5 ENHANCEMENTS TO THE GOVERNMENT PORTAL
In 2002, Softrigger Interactive implemented various enhancements to improve the usability and utility of the Government Portal. These are the following:
- A powerful content-management system for easy updating of News, Government Directory, PGMA Speeches, Current Issues and Policies, Voting Poll, and Categories, to name a few.
- EDSA DOS and EDSA Uno Anniversary celebrations were presented live via streaming video over the Government Portal for the benefit of overseas Filipino workers. Technology partners for this activity were Radio Television Malacanang (RTVM) with the assistance of private firms Bitstop Computers of Dagupan, Pangasinan and Eastern Telecommunications Philippines, Inc..
- "The Working President" radio and television show are occasionally presented over the Government Portal via streaming video.
- Membership options, such as free newsletter subscriptions and access to the message board;
- Support for mobile devices, such as GSM cellular phones through WAP and SMS, and for Pocket PCs
- Additional content features, such as the segmented News and Special Feature categories:
