The Food and Drug Administration tested 34 samples of food products collected by inspectors in the National Capital Region and Region VII for non-permissible colorants (NPC). The samples were collected from ambulant vendors, public markets, groceries and supermarkets. Most of the samples were unregistered and noncompliant with food product labeling standards (DoH Administrative Order No. 88-B s. 1984).
